Last night I needed something simple, fresh, not too processed or time-consuming to cook, tasting and smelling like summer and crunchy: welcome to the simplest Italian ‘dish’ fresh tomato salad with salt, olive oil, basil and good warm bread.
Following this thought, what can you do to nurture yourself in a simple way? Not too fancy, not too original, but back to the root of food pleasures and basic tastes. Is “simple” one of your values?
It is definitely one of mine, and I try and apply this value to all my life: simplifying my meals, the grocery shopping, streamlining my kitchen tools and organizing my working space in the most efficient and linear way, learning how to be satisfied with less and more basic things.
